Woodbridge, VA – May 26, 2023 – First Home Alliance President and Founder Larry Laws ended May by taping a new episode of Rock Your Block. During the month of June there is Juneteenth, Father’s Day, Flag Day and the Army’s Birthday. This month’s guest, Benjamin H. S. Scott, Jr., has some commonality with all those celebrations.
Scott entered the United States Army in 1983 and served more than 32 years culminating as a Command Sergeant Major at the 2-star level. He earned the 3rd highest military award given in peace time by the Army, the Distinguished Service Medal, and the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone. While in the Army, he served his country in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, and six states of the United States of America.
Laws and Scott discussed a variety of personal topics as well. They talked about his family and what Scott does with his spare time. He also shared the ideals that motivate and inspire him. Then the gentlemen moved to Scott’s professional life and how to overcome obstacles and achieve personal goals. Furthermore, they talked about the acronym B.E.N. and the hashtag #M3M2M.
Scott is an Executive Director with The John Maxwell Group; a certified Coach, Trainer, and Speaker, a certified Army Medical Department Arbinger Facilitator. He is a trained Lean Leader, Certified Scrum Master, an Army Medical Department Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Candidate, and a member of The American College of Healthcare Executives. He owns his own company, Ben Scott LLC. It is a company dedicated to inspiring others through meaningful connections to a tight circle of diverse and influential people.
