This year’s Symposium and Gala will be held on November 11, 2023 which is also Veteran’s Day, and will take place from 9am-4pm. The Symposium will be held at Embassy Suites at 8100 Loisdale Road in Springfield, Virginia. and sponsorships are still available if you would like to reach this historically underserved community with your product or services. This community-focused event is a day of collaboration, education, and empowerment designed to raise awareness, improve financial health, along with physical and mental well-being. The event empowers participants through motivational speakers and interaction with industry experts.

- Understanding the PACT Act and your VA Benefits. Learn how to file a VA Disability Claim
- Understanding the Myths of the VA Home Loans Guarantee Program presented by VAREP NOVA
- CreditSmart teaches you how to manage money and building good credit featuring Freddie Mac
- Maximize prime and subcontracting opportunities for U.S. Small Businesses with the VA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
There will also be a unique opportunity for first-time homebuyers to take a one-day in-person HUD-certified First Time Home Buying class with one of our most experienced Housing Counselors, Charlene Watkins-Byrd. Lunch will be from 11:30am to 1pm and will be a fundraiser for Paul W. Mitchell Jr. American Legion Post 114 in Manassas as they raise money for a new Post home and veteran housing. Come spend time with a wide range of Veterans and hear a keynote speech from Colonel Wilber Bryant, U.S. Army Retired. Later that day, we will hold our VIP Networking Reception, followed by a red, white, and blue Patriotic-themed Awards Gala. During the evening, we’ll present local community leaders with awards and highlight some of this year’s success stories with in-person testimonials. The evening’s festivities include a plated dinner and live musical entertainment. The reception starts at 6pm, the dinner at 7:30, with music from X-Factor, the Band playing until 11:30 at the Gala’s conclusion.
