Shauna Davey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University and a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She is an Instructional Specialist for the District of Columbia Public School. In this role, Shauna’s primary role is to provide teachers in Early Childhood classrooms research-based instructional approaches, as well as collaborate with key stake-holders in the school community. In addition, she is also the director of a tutoring company which she started in 2004, that caters to supporting learners across various ages. Prior to Shauna’s current role, she was an Educational Consultant for a private autism institution in which she provided individualized instructional support to children and their families. Throughout her career, she has been active in the community as a mentor and tutor for her local school district, community centers, and churches. Since joining First Home Alliance (FHA, Inc) in 2007, she has served as the Volunteer Coordinator and sat on the committee for FHA, Inc’s Scholarship Program for qualified high school seniors. Likewise, Shauna assisted with the compilation and submission process of FHA, Inc’s current grantee; Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and United Way.
