First Home Alliance 2017 Symposium and Awards Gala

Join us as we celebrate, honor and come together to raise awareness and funds to increase opportunities for low-to-moderate income families and military veterans. In addition to the Awards Gala, this year First Home Alliance will host a Financial Empowerment and Wellness Symposium earlier in the day.
The Symposium will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. The symposium will feature a lunch keynote speaker. There will be breakout group sessions that will include: financial, health and wellness seminars. This symposium is a community benefit that will consist of a full day of collaboration and education designed to raise awareness, improve financial wealth and physical well-being. Participants will be empowered by motivational speakers and industry experts in their related professional fields.
The Awards Gala (Masquerade Ball Theme) will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. During the evening, we will present local community members the following: Alliance Partner of the Year Award, Alliance Leadership Award and Alliance Community Achievement Award. The event will also include a plated dinner and live music entertainment. More than 100 business leaders, philanthropists, and community organizers have attended our annual awards dinner and fundraising events.
All donations and proceeds from this event will fund our Financial Empowerment and Homeownership programs. Our aim is to build strong vibrant neighborhoods by preserving homeownership and improving the financial capabilities of underserved, low-to-moderate income and veteran communities.

First Home Alliance is a non-profit 501 (c)3 dedicated to increasing sustainable homeownership and financial capabilities of the underserved low-to-moderate income and military veteran communities.
OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
As a community based, HUD approved housing counseling agency, First Home Alliance served over 800 families in FY2017 and more than 8,000 households, since its inception in 2002.
• Provided home buyer education to over 5000 households; 3000 of which purchased their first home
• Improved the financial capabilities of over 8000 people by providing financial literacy education
• Facilitated to sustainment of over $525,000,000 in Prince William County, Virginia tax revenue by assisting 2100 homeowners with foreclosure prevention education and loss mitigation counseling
